Role Overview
This is an exceptional, high-impact Finance Business Partner opportunity where your commercial insights will directly influence strategic execution within a leading global logistics group. This role is a hybrid, demanding both strategic partnership (FP&A, commercial guidance) and meticulous operational control (tax, transactional oversight). You will act as a key control point between finance and operations.
This permanent, full time position is based in Botany, NSW, offers a highly competitive package of up to $120,000 + super (with potential flexibility for exceptional candidates), and includes hybrid working from home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Commercial Partnering: Steer financial planning and forecasting by actively partnering with business unit leaders. Utilise robustness and strong social skills to provide insights that influence key business decisions and gain operational buy-in.
- Operational Control & PTP: Manage urgent payment requests and ensure costs are properly applied in operational systems. Act as the gatekeeper for all internal controls and compliance to Group governance frameworks.
- Revenue Management & Collections: Drive profitability by ensuring the timeliness and completeness of revenue billing and aggressively managing Accounts Receivable collections to meet payment terms.
- Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Oversee monthly payroll submissions (review/approval) and ensure the accurate maintenance of employee data and all subsequent tax filings (IAS/Payroll Tax).
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Contribute to FP&A activities, including detailed profitability analysis, performance evaluation, and forecasting.
Qualifications & Skills
- CPA/CA qualification is highly regarded (or active pursuit towards obtaining qualification).
- Demonstrated prior experience in a Finance Business Partnering role is essential.
- Experience in FP&A functions.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of financial controls and compliance best practices.
- Logistics or Freight Forwarding experience is a nice to have but not essential.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with NetSuite experience being highly regarded.
- Ability to work effectively and adapt quickly in a fast moving environment.
