Field Officer
Based in the Murraylands of South Australia, our client is a not-for-profit Group Training Organisation dedicated to providing training and recruitment services across the state. They specialise in apprenticeships and traineeships, providing supportive tailored solutions and services to support their clients.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Field Officer focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with industry, training providers, government bodies and host employers to support apprenticeships and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting workplace assessments across different clients and locations
- Mentoring trainees and apprentices
- Recruitment of new apprentices for clients
- Identifying labour market gaps and solutions
- Ensuring compliance with WHS and organisational standards
- Supports continuous improvement within the organisation
- Building strong relationships and delivering quality customer service
- Assisting the promotion of the business
- Showing a strong commitment to the organisations values
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders
- Experience in workplace assessments and compliance
- Ability to mentor and support apprentices and trainees
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Accurate data entry and record keeping experience
- Ability to work independently within a dynamic team
- Knowledge of Group Training Organisation standards
- Experience in improving organisational processes
- Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities
Desirable skills and experience
- Previous experience working within training organisations
- Knowledge of government employment and training programs
- Understanding of recruitment and induction processes for apprentices and trainees
- Familiarity with Industry Training Advisory Boards and key industry sectors
- Experience liaising with local, state, and federal government bodies
- Previous marketing or promotion experience
- Ability to work out of hours or across different locations as required
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
- Multicultural awareness and experience working with diverse client groups
