Due to a flourishing pipeline of projects in the renewables sector, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager with 15+ years of experience to join their Southern Region team (VIC/SA/TAS). This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own the delivery of complex electrical assets from initial award through to final commissioning.
Your Strategic Impact
As the lead for major renewable assets including wind farm foundations, substations, and overhead transmission lines, you will be responsible for:
- Project Excellence: Managing the end-to-end design and construction of large-scale electrical infrastructure.
- Commercial Ownership: Full accountability for contract administration, negotiating major supplier agreements, and managing complex variations and EOTs.
- Financial Stewardship: Overseeing precise cost forecasting and budget tracking to drive project profitability.
- Leadership & Culture: Mentoring a multilevel team of site supervisors and engineers, fostering a high-performance, solutions-focused environment.
- Safety & Standards: Acting as a HSEQ advocate, ensuring strict compliance with electrical safety legislation and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Diplomacy: Managing critical relationships with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure seamless project delivery.
What You Bring
You are a seasoned professional with a deep technical pedigree and the commercial acumen to match. You will possess:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical project management within large-scale contracting or civil infrastructure.
- Sector Expertise: A proven track record in delivering renewable (wind/solar) projects and associated electrical works.
- Commercial Rigor: Expert-level skills in managing subcontractor statements, variations, and contract negotiations.
- Leadership Versatility: The ability to communicate effectively with both technical design teams and site-based delivery crews.
- Flexibility: A willingness to travel within the Southern Region (VIC/SA/TAS) to support key project milestones.
