We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Coordinator / Electrical Supervisor to join a critical infrastructure project in Bowen Hills. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role managing electrical maintenance for a major infrastructure project on a 6-month contract, with a strong view to becoming a permanent employee.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be the key operational leader responsible for all electrical maintenance activities on a significant tunnel asset. Your focus will be on safety, quality, and technical compliance, ensuring that all maintenance deliverables meet client and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage the on-site electrical maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety and high performance.
Oversee and coordinate specialist subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time and to the required standard.
Manage the maintenance budget, controlling expenditure and reporting on financial performance.
Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards, including legislative and client requirements.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external client stakeholders to align maintenance schedules with operational objectives.
Act as the on-call supervisor on a rotational basis to address critical operational issues outside of standard hours.
Develop, implement, and refine maintenance strategies and procedures
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this supervisory role, you will need a strong background in electrical maintenance within a demanding infrastructure or heavy industry environment.
MUST HAVE: Current Australian Electrical Licence.
Electrical Trade Qualification and/or Engineering Degree (highly regarded).
Proven experience in a supervisory or coordinator role, specifically managing electrical maintenance teams and contractors.
Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management within a maintenance context.
Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards, Electrical Safety legislation, and WHS practices.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build strong professional relationships with clients and team members.
Prior experience in tunnel, rail, mining, or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
