This opportunity offers a Monday to Friday roster that leaves your weekends open—unless you want the extra overtime!
Your Responsibilities
Working across a diverse fleet of waste management trucks and plant equipment, your day-to-day will involve:
Identifying faults in diesel engines, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
Executing regular servicing, lubrication, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Rebuilding engines, repairing parts, and testing performance to ensure peak efficiency.
Responding to on-site breakdowns to keep our fleet moving.
Utilizing specialized tools and mechanical equipment to solve complex technical issues.
Requirements
...
- Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic trade certificate.
- 1+ years of experience maintaining trucks, trailers or heavy plant equipment.
- Strong diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to mechanical problem-solving.
What is being offered
- $49ph for the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic - in June the hourly rate will be increased
- $51 for the Leading Hand - in June the hourly rate will be increased
- Roster: Mon-Fri (4am-1pm)
