Overview: This Queensland Government Department is currently undertaking a three year Cyber Security uplift program. This Cyber Security Technical Specialist will be joining a small project team of 2, and working alongside an operational team of 6.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
A sound understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
Understanding of Cyber security frameworks; ASD Essential 8, IS18, ISO27001.
Understanding of global Cyber Security trends, attack vectors and techniques.
Experience with Cloud infrastructure and Operational tasks; including AWS and Azure
Experience with Infrastructure as Code via tools such as Terraform, Gitlab, Ansible or equivalent
Experience with Vulnerability management products and strategies
Experience with Application whitelisting/management products and techniques
Experience with Security management products, Endpoint and perimeter; e.g. Proofpoint, Carbon Black, Defender, Sentinel, Splunk, Palo Alto, F5. In particular, experience with Microsoft Sentinel - developing, tuning, and managing analytics rules, workbooks, playbooks, and data connectors.
Experience in hardening of user accounts in active directory environments.
