Key Responsibilities:

• Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture: Regularly performing tasks like mowing, weeding, brush cutting, pruning, and hedging to keep public parks, gardens, nature strips, and open green spaces neat and visually appealing.
• Litter and Debris Removal: Conducting rubbish, litter, and green waste removal from public areas, including streets, gardens, parks, and reserves, to maintain cleanliness and safety for the community.
• Infrastructure Servicing: Emptying and servicing public litter bins, street furniture, and bin enclosures, and cleaning up any materials spilled during collection to ensure sanitation.
• Safe Waste Disposal: Identifying various waste types and managing the disposal of materials, including general waste and debris, in a safe and environmentally sound manner, adhering to WHS procedures.
• Plant and Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining grounds keeping tools and small plant equipment such as mowers, tractors, and spray equipment, ensuring they are used correctly and kept in good working order.

What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have the following or willing to obtain.

• Valid "C" Class driver's license (MR truck licence desirable)
• First Aid Certificate
• Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
• ACDC (desirable)
• Chainsaw (desirable)
