Randstad is assisting a Queensland Government department in recruiting a highly motivated Contracts Manager - Systems and Tech to join their ever-evolving team based in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency across the following key areas:
Tendering & Contract Management: Extensive experience across the full lifecycle of contract activities for complex Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects within large and complex organisations.
Negotiation: Well-developed and proven strong negotiation skills in major agreements, with the ability to effectively balance price, quality, and relationship trade-offs with suppliers.
Legal Acumen: A demonstrated understanding of contract law, including significant exposure to ICT contracts.
Stakeholder Management: High-level communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with expereince in managing relationships at senior levels and driving beneficial process changes.
Systems Knowledge: A solid understanding of contract management procedures and practical experience with SAP Ariba system requirements, including the ability to assist and support end-user teams.
About You
To be successful in this pivotal role, you will possess:
Proven experience in managing end-to-end procurement processes, preferably within a government or large, complex organisation.
A strong understanding of Queensland Government procurement policies and procedures.
The demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
Excellent negotiation, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory full working rights in Australia.
Demonstrable and extensive experience with Queensland Government procurement, particularly within the ICT sector.
Familiarity and practical experience with QICT frameworks (specifically GITC contracts).
