This is a dedicated, in-house role perfect for a qualified professional looking to move into a stable, off-the-tools consultancy position. Working with a supportive and expert team, you will be the go-to technical specialist, providing critical advice, conducting thorough site assessments, and delivering high-quality reports for a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and government projects.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the senior leadership team, your daily responsibilities will include:
Assessments: Conducting comprehensive on-site tree evaluations, including structural health and risk assessments.
Species Identification: Demonstrating high proficiency in identifying a wide variety of tree species and diagnosing specific physiological conditions.
Report Writing: Preparing detailed Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIAs) and Development Impact Reports in strict accordance with local council guidelines and Australian Standards ($AS4970-2009$ & $AS4373-2007$).
Stakeholder Liaison: Providing expert advice and actionable mitigation strategies to clients, project managers, architects, and local government authorities regarding tree retention and protection.
About You
To succeed in this role with our client, you will possess a strong technical background in arboriculture combined with excellent written communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications: Minimum of an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture (essential).
Experience: Proven, hands-on experience compiling comprehensive Development Impact Reports and AIAs within a consultancy setting.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of tree species identification, hazard/risk assessment methodologies, and tree management on construction sites.
Communication: Exceptional report-writing capabilities with high attention to detail, and the ability to articulate technical advice clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Licence: A current, valid Australian driver’s licence.
