The Opportunity
Are you a proactive leader with a talent for operational excellence? We are seeking a Cleaning Facilities Lead to manage the operational delivery of cleaning services across sites within the Hunter and Central Coast region.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day cleaning delivery across multiple sites, ensuring strict adherence to KPIs, WHS obligations, and departmental policies.
Performance & Auditing: Implement local monitoring protocols, including site inspections, audits, and spot checks to hold contractors and staff to the highest standards.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for School Principals, internal asset teams, and contractors to resolve issues swiftly and professionally.
Emergency Response: Lead the coordination of rapid-response cleaning for outbreaks, floods, or fire recovery in consultation with senior management.
Reporting & Briefing: Provide expert advice and draft technical briefs, ministerial correspondence, and information requests.
Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise geographically dispersed teams, fostering a culture of accountability and customer service.
What You Bring
Industry Experience: Ideally from a cleaning services background or related sector (e.g., Health or Facilities Management). Experience managing canteen, maintenance, or cleaning staff is highly regarded.
Senior Leadership: Proven experience at a senior level with the ability to mentor staff and manage large-scale, geographically dispersed teams.
Tactical Thinking: Ability to provide operational input for risk management, cleaning programs, and continuous improvement.
Communication Skills: High-level verbal and written skills; experience drafting formal reports or government correspondence is highly regarded.
Problem Solving: The ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve complex issues within tight time frames.
Compliance Ready: You must have (or be willing to obtain) a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a National Police Check.
Work Rights: Full Australian Work Rights are required.
