Randstad are seeking a dedicated Civil Labourer to join our busy Clients Team, in the Northern Suburbs This is an excellent opportunity to secure a rewarding role and play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing our local roads.
Key Responsibilities
As a Civil Labourer, you will perform a wide range of manual tasks and support skilled tradespeople and operators across various civil and maintenance projects, including:
- Road and Pavement Maintenance: Patching potholes, minor road repairs, laying asphalt and concrete, kerb and gutter work.
- Drainage and Utility Work: Assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of storm water drainage, sewer, and water systems.
- Site Preparation and Restoration: Digging trenches, shovelling, raking, compacting earth, manual handling of materials, and site clean-up.
- Traffic Management: Setting up and dismantling traffic control devices (signs, barriers, cones) in line with approved traffic control plans..
Essential Skills and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Physical Fitness: The ability to undertake strenuous manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions, including heavy lifting, digging, and standing for long periods.
- Valid Driver's Licence: A current and valid motor vehicle driver's licence (e.g., Class C or equivalent).
- Construction Safety Card (White Card/equivalent): Proof of general construction induction training.
- Traffic control Ticket
- HR or MR Licence

- Experience operating small plant/machinery (e.g., rollers, skid steers, forklifts) and associated licences/competencies
- Line marking experience
