Their Procurement & Supply Chain Team is dedicated to ensuring efficient, effective, and responsible operations that drive long-term success and sustainability.
About the Role
This is a full-time position based in Fortitude Valley, QLD. As a Category Manager specialising in the labour services category, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and lifecycle management of category strategies and plans. This role encompasses full-cycle procurement responsibilities where your market analysis and cultivation of supplier relationships will be integral to optimising offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the overarching strategy and sourcing plan for all subcategories within labour services, and commence implementation.
- Manage full-cycle procurement responsibilities (planning, sourcing, management), alongside delivering robust commercial contracts and overseeing supplier performance.
- Monitor supplier performance, drive continuous improvement for cost-effective, high-quality supply chains, and negotiate favourable terms.
- Prepare category and procurement submissions for the Executive Leadership Team and other stakeholder groups to a high quality and professional standard.
- Leverage market insights and foster innovation to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality services to the community.
What You Bring
- Degree level qualification in business, finance, procurement, supply chain or related discipline and/or significant work experience within the procurement and supply chain profession.
- 5-10 years demonstrated experience in formulating the direction of and advice on category strategies and plans, including end-to-end management of categories (sourcing, stakeholder, and supplier management).
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent accreditation is highly desired.
- Proficiency using business systems including ERP, Source to Pay systems and the Microsoft Suite (incl. Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
