About your new role
As an APS6 Case Manager within the External Review branch, you will lead the end-to-end management of complex cases involving disputes over the departments access and plan decisions. Operating with reasonable autonomy under limited direction, you will interpret legislation and policy to resolve matters currently under review by the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART). Your daily responsibilities will include analyzing complex problems to develop early resolution options, applying alternate dispute resolution methods, and representing the Agency at ART Case Conferences, Conciliations, and Hearings
What you will need to exceed
... - You will apply strong analytical skills to oversee "end-to-end" case management, identifying strategic options for the early resolution of complex disputes
- You must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of administrative law proceedings and maintain high ethical standards by operating under Model Litigant Principles.
- You need the ability to draft high-level executive briefs and prepare formal documents detailing resolution outcomes for Case Management meetings.
- You require sophisticated verbal communication skills to effectively represent the Agency during Case Conferences, Conciliations, and Hearings at the ART
- You must use highly developed engagement skills to collaborate effectively with internal legal teams and external stakeholders, including legal representatives and participants.
- You will manage a diverse portfolio of sensitive and complex matters, demonstrating the agility to reassess and respond to rapidly shifting priorities.
Desirable
- Experience in working for government
- Law or Dispute Resolution experience
- Insurance or Complex Case Management experience
