Location: Taree, NSW
Salary: $70,000 – $88,000
Work Type: Full-Time / Permanent
The Opportunity
Join a global leader in metal manufacturing at their high-volume plant in the Taree region. We are looking for a Can Line Technician to join our production team.
This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically adept, loves troubleshooting, and enjoys a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. While a formal trade certificate isn't required, a natural "mechanical thumb" and a passion for how things work are essential.
The Role
As a Can Line Technician, you are the heartbeat of the production floor. You will ensure our client's aerosol manufacturing lines run at peak performance through:
- Machine Operation & Setup: Precision setting and adjusting of high-speed equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying mechanical hiccups before they become breakdowns.
- Basic Maintenance: Using general hand tools to perform minor repairs and routine equipment servicing.
- Operational Excellence: Monitoring line flow and documenting any incidents or technical issues to ensure 24/7 reliability.
- Safety First: Strict adherence to WHS regulations to keep yourself and your team safe.
About You
You don’t need a piece of paper to prove you’re good with gear—your experience and aptitude speak for themselves. We are looking for:
- Mechanical Aptitude: You understand basic mechanical principles and are comfortable working around heavy industrial machinery.
- Hands-on Skills: Proficient with general hand tools and basic power tools.
- The "Safety Mindset": A proven track record of following safety protocols and documenting work accurately.
- Physical Readiness: Comfortable working in a 24/7 plant environment (forklift, confined space, or heights tickets are a huge plus!).
- Reliability: A team player with full Australian working rights who is ready to commit to a roster.
What’s on Offer?
- Competitive Pay: $70k–$88k (determined by roster type) + generous shift penalties.
- Overtime Opportunities: High availability for those looking to maximize their earnings.
- Training: Work alongside experienced Engineers and Fitters to grow your technical skill set.
- Career Stability: Long-term permanent employment with a multi-national industry leader.
