We are specifically seeking candidates who possess proven leadership experience (such as a Leading Hand or Foreman) and are ready to manage a small crew of 6-7 bridge team members.

Location: William Jolly Bridge (On-site)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (9.5-hour days)
Pay: Penalties included after 38 weekly hours etc.

About your new role
You will assist with the maintenance and building of bridges and associated structures around Brisbane. You will be someone who adheres to strict WHS practices. Some of your duties may include:
- Lead and motivate the team to meet project goals by providing clear direction, support, and constructive feedback.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings to discuss safety and project updates.
- Conduct inspections of concrete structures, focusing on areas in need of repair (e.g., crumbling sections of bridges due to rusted underlying steel).
- Perform and supervise basic labor tasks like sandblasting, spray painting, and concrete repairs.
- Construct and erect formwork for concrete pours, and complete all required hand patching and structural repairs.
- Perform complex problem-solving related to formwork and concrete pours, ensuring all work meets heritage standards.
- Verify the accuracy and quality of all work performed.
- Lead and assist in grinding and jack hammering to remove damaged concrete ("breaking out").
- Work in an encapsulated environment, strictly upholding all safety standards across the board.
What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have the following:
- Open C Class Drivers license.
- Working at heights ticket.
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).
- Trade Formwork Carpenter or equivalent.
- First Aid CPR.
