We have exciting opportunities within City Parklands to work as a Gardener at Victoria Park/Barrambin in the Brisbane City area. As part of the team, you will be working on various projects within this area.
About your new role
...
As a Horticulturalist at City Parklands Services, you will provide high quality horticultural services, including but not limited to, the establishment and maintenance of landscaping, plant scaping and gardens as well as site cleaning and implementation of pest management and fertilising programs. We are seeking able bodied gardeners for 38 hour weeks with City Parklands. If you hold a qualification in horticulture and are eager to get your foot in the door with Brisbane City Council, this is your chance.
- You must be physically fit, and able to lift objects or items in excess of 25kg.
- Turf maintenance, grasscutting and mowing to maintain grounds.
- Garden maintenance, pruning, mulching, etc.
- You will be required to have good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
What you will need to exceed
We are looking for workers who are reliable and enjoy providing high-quality work. A strong sense of teamwork, a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines. In order to be a successful applicant, the following licences are required:
- Mandatory Licences:
- C Class Licence
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Horticultural Qualification (ie. Cert. III Horticulture, etc.)
- Beneficial Licences:
- Chipper Ticket
- ACDC Ticket
- Chainsaw Ticket
