About the Role
As an Auto Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing BCC's extensive fleet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring and computer-based equipment.
- Testing, reconditioning, and installing alternators, starter motors, and batteries.
- Maintaining ignition systems, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps, and switches.
- Training and supervising apprentices and trade assistants.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in a fleet management environment or working with various vehicle types.
- Australian Trade Qualification as an Auto Electrician (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology) or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and adherence to safety guidelines.
