Key obligations include:

• Compliance & Data Standards: Ensure all financial data adheres to commercial, legislative, and accounting regulations.
• Systems Management: Support the delivery of efficient, high-performing finance and accounting systems and processes.
• Reporting & Insights: Deliver accurate financial results and KPIs through targeted research and project support.
• Customer Resolution: Resolve stakeholder issues within delegated authority or manage effective escalations.
• Business Partnering: Provide direct operational support to Accountants and business partners to facilitate service delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to streamline accounting and reporting performance.

To be successful in this role:

You will be an experienced Accountant with proven experience and reliability in previous positions, including the following:

• Demonstrated understanding of general financial principles and practices.
• Ability to apply financial rules associated with commercial, legislative and regulatory requirements of the customers & business.
• Efficient and effective organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Ability to research, analyse and resolve issues including preparing detailed reports
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance
• Previous Local, State or Federal Government experience (desirable)
• Technical Proficiency with business and finance software packages.
