The Employee Psychological Services (EPS) team responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to manage and enhance employee wellbeing and mental health across the department. The department is dedicated to building a world-class public education system by supporting the people who make a difference for South Australian children.
In this role, you will manage the delivery of key projects and programs within the EPS team, ensuring continuous improvement strategies are implemented. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the directorate to align tasks and support the administrative processes of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Coordination: Triage and coordinate specialist trauma interventions for employees or sites following critical incidents, managing sensitive and sometimes distressing content.
- Project Management: Manage significant projects and programs in accordance with departmental policies, leading the team to ensure delivery is in scope and on time.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build effective networks and strategic alliances with service providers and stakeholders to ensure programs are fit-for-purpose.
- Policy & Research: Conduct research into best practice wellbeing and mental health strategies and prepare accurate briefs, policy documents, and submissions.
- Program Awareness: Build understanding and participation in departmental psychology and wellbeing programs to drive ongoing improvement.
Ideally you will:
- Technical Expertise: Ideally you will possess a relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Services and/or other related disciplines and proven experience in a similar role or related field.. AHPRA registration is not necessary..
- Project Experience: Have extensive experience delivering strategic projects and policy development, including complex research and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to convey complex information clearly while negotiating and influencing stakeholders.
- Resilience under Pressure: Demonstrate a proven ability to manage sensitive and confronting scenarios in a high-pressure environment using a calm, methodical, and professional approach.
- Autonomy: Be able to manage complex and competing priorities while providing high-level advice on organisational policy and legislation and make informed decisions.
