About the Client Our client is a large South Australian State Government educational provider dedicated to delivering high-quality learning pathways and student-facing services. Operating within a highly collaborative environment, their internal team produces high-volume digital and print collateral to support major organisational events and student engagement initiatives.
About the Role We are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer (ASO5 equivalent) for a structured, fast-paced 7-week contract commencing in early July.
This is a dedicated, project-based role where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of a major upcoming conference. Working in a fast-paced environment with zero working-from-home flexibility, this position requires you to be fully office-based to ensure seamless, real-time collaboration with the project delivery team. You will be responsible for translating project briefs into highly engaging, practical, and accessible print and digital visual resources for a diverse student and stakeholder audience.
Key Responsibilities
Conference & Project Delivery: Design and execute a wide range of print and digital assets specifically tailored for an upcoming major conference, including event collateral, basic illustrations, and complex infographics.
Style Guide Alignment: Interpret and strictly implement SA Government and project-specific style guides across all conference and departmental materials.
Accessible Design: Create student-facing and public resources with accessibility at the forefront, ensuring all design elements are optimised for screen readers and diverse cohorts.
Production Management: Apply a comprehensive understanding of print and digital specifications to ensure flawless end-to-end delivery of event and project assets.
On-Site Collaboration: Work full-time from the office to manage heavy workloads under pressure and deliver required assets within strict project deadlines.
What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this 7-week sprint, you must bring:
Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically InDesign and Illustrator is essential).
Corporate Toolkits: Competency using Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) for daily workflow and documentation.
Design Capability: A strong visual eye with the ability to turn text-heavy project and event information into clean, engaging, and accessible infographics.
Resilience & Presence: A proven track record of working effectively under pressure, meeting tight time-frames, and thriving in a full-time, office-based team environment.
Portfolio: A comprehensive digital portfolio or link to a website demonstrating your print and digital design work must be submitted with your application.
Special Conditions
Must have full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
Must be available for the full duration of the 7-week contract (6 July to 28 August, 2026).
This role is 100% office-based with no work-from-home flexibility.
