Operating within a leading education organisation in Adelaide, the Graphic Designer is responsible for a range of functions under limited direction, exercising initiative and sound judgement. The role focuses on the end-to-end creation of branded marketing material—from initial brief to final production—ensuring all collateral aligns with strict brand and compliance guidelines.
Design & Production: Create high-quality branded marketing collateral, including small and large brochures, print/digital/large-format advertising, event materials, and course-specific collateral.
Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality standards over all marketing material in accordance with branding, compliance, and production specifications.
Technical Advisory: Provide internal clients and team members with design layouts, templates, and expert verbal and written technical advice to ensure brand consistency.
Project Management: Manage briefs through the full production lifecycle to ensure customer expectations are understood, managed, and met.
Stakeholder Liaison: Access and compile information from a range of internal and external sources to support consultation and delivery needs.
Multi-Media Support: Design and deliver high-quality multi-media marketing tools for use by various directorates, agencies, and stakeholders.
Technical Mastery: High-level mastery of Adobe InDesign is mandatory, alongside proficient knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat PDF workflows.
Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in a graphic or visual design capacity with a deep understanding of design principles, photography, and print production.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to respond effectively to a diverse group of customers, facilitate cooperation, and resolve conflicts.
Efficiency & Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, respond flexibly to changing priorities, and produce high-standard work within tight deadlines.
Customer Focus: Experience in providing effective customer service by developing clear briefs and guidelines to ensure shared understanding of project outcomes.
Screening: Applicants must undergo a Working with Children Check and a General Employment Probity Check.
Availability: Out of hours work may be required.
Compliance: Ongoing employment is subject to compliance with relevant Health Directions (including COVID-19).
