About the Role
Operating within a fast-paced, complex, and highly rewarding environment , you will step into the Communications, Governance and Reform Team. As an APS6 Project Officer, you will provide high-level governance, corporate, and communication support directly to senior leadership, contributing to the delivery of strategic priorities across the branch.
This role requires a combination of sharp analytical capability, strong secretariat skills, and a strategic approach to information management.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Governance: Provide high-level corporate and governance support to senior leaders, ensuring effective coordination of branch priorities and deliverables.
Secretariat Management: Deliver end-to-end secretariat support for governance forums and executive meetings, including coordinating papers, capturing highly accurate minutes, and tracking actions to completion.
High-Quality Briefings: Lead the preparation, coordination, and strict quality assurance of executive briefings, reports, and official correspondence.
Strategic Communications: Translate complex or sensitive information into clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate messaging aligned with organisational priorities.
Digital Content (SharePoint): Strategically manage and maintain digital content, including building and redesigning SharePoint pages to support organisation-wide communication and change initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with senior executives and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of key divisional outcomes.
About You (Selection Criteria)
To be successful in this role, you will be a capable, confident professional who takes pride in driving operational excellence. We are looking for:
Government Governance Experience: Demonstrated experience providing high-level governance and/or secretariat support within a government agency or large, complex organisation.
Advanced SharePoint & Tech Skills: Proven experience using SharePoint to strategically develop and manage content, alter information architecture, and maintain digital records.
Superior Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to write executive-ready papers and seamlessly translate complex issues.
Judgement & Discretion: Sound judgement and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive information, risk identification, and compliance frameworks.
Delivery Under Pressure: Excellent organisational skills with a track record of prioritising multiple competing demands to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Must be an Australian Citizen.
Must be willing to undergo a Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) prior to commencement.
