About your new role
The Classification Officer is a specialist who facilitates every phase of classification refinement and development. Their core remit covers technical construction of classification frameworks and associated standards, the translation and dissemination of complex data, and the creation of necessary metadata structures. The role also demands proven skill in stakeholder liaison and the ability to contribute to both strategic programme delivery and the day-to-day administrative needs of the unit.

Champion collaborative planning across internal sections and external agencies to ensure seamless, cross-functional programme delivery.
Drive project lifecycles from initial conception through to successful implementation, while operating effectively under the guidance of senior leadership.
Shape team direction by formulating measurable short-term objectives and contributing valuable insights to long-range strategic initiatives
Act as a subject matter expert by applying comprehensive knowledge of the agency's functions to contextualise and advance work area goals.
Take ownership of key deliverables, exercising a high degree of autonomy against established methodologies to guarantee the delivery of quality outcomes.
Apply sound judgement and technical knowledge to the decision-making process, ensuring alignment with overall strategic direction and senior guidance.
Cultivate and sustain complex, high-value partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support shared agency objectives
