Randstad is currently recruiting for an AO5 Advisor (Governance) to work with the State Government on a number of major infrastructure projects based on the Gold Coast.
In this position, you will provide high-level advice, guidance, and data analysis across the region to actively support the governance structure for major projects. You will act as a key support to leadership teams, steering committees, and program boards, ensuring project performance, compliance, and risk data are accurately managed and reported.
The pay rate for this position is at the AO5 level of $69.21 – $75.09 p/hr + super, depending on experience. This is a full-time casual assignment based in Nerang, with an initial duration of six months and the possibility of 2x 6-month extensions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the administrative requirements for leadership meetings, steering committees, and program boards, including preparing agendas and taking detailed minutes.
- Develop, update, and review project tracking dashboards to monitor program performance, key risks, and budget variances.
- Utilise project portfolio management software to generate regular monthly progress and performance updates for project directors and management teams.
- Coordinate and maintain monthly risk and issue registers, ensuring project teams are accurately capturing mitigation steps.
- Review, analyse, and cross-reference financial and risk documentation to ensure data accuracy and support senior advisors with corporate assurance.
- Compile and review compliance data and milestones required for external reporting, including tracking government funded agreements and election commitments.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist with financial approvals and ensure alignment with established departmental procurement frameworks.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience supporting governance and compliance frameworks for complex infrastructure projects or government programs is highly desirable.
- Strong technical proficiency with data visualisation tools like Power BI or advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
- Proven experience providing administrative and secretariat support, such as minutes and agendas, for formal committees or management boards.
- Prior exposure to project environments within corporate governance, project administration, or a public sector setting is highly regarded.
- Must hold a valid Class C driver's licence and have access to a personal vehicle to commute between local offices and sites.
- To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with no work restrictions.
