About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Officer to join the Business and Finance team, with a primary focus on accounts payable. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth financial operations of the school, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance with school and departmental financial procedures.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable functions and assisting with other finance-related tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
... - Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain supplier records and manage creditor queries
- Prepare and process purchase orders and staff reimbursements
- Assist with monthly reconciliations and reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and school policies
- Support the broader finance team during audits, reporting cycles, and budget preparation
- Use and maintain the Education Management System (EMS) for all financial transactions and reporting
About you
- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
- Proficiency with the EMS financial system (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
