Randstad is seeking a highly skilled and experienced A08 Information Management Manager to lead our client's Information Management function and ensure the effective management of their information and records, including compliance with statutory obligations.
This is a contract opportunity, initially for 3 months with the potential for extension , and is based in Fortitude Valley - Brisbane. Please note you must be an Australian Citizen.
This is a key leadership role that requires both managerial and hands-on skills in information and records management, coupled with a sound understanding of relevant statutory obligations. You will contribute your passion and expertise to a role that serves the public.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Lead an operational team responsible for delivering information and record management services across the organisation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain information management policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an information governance framework.
- Provide expert strategic and operational advice to executive management on information and records management matters.
- Oversee the collection, storage, organisation, quality, security, and disposal of information assets in various formats (electronic and physical).
- Manage and maintain information management systems, databases, and other repositories, ensuring functionality, security, and optimal performance.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
- Oversee the development and delivery of training and awareness programs to officers on information management policies and best practices.
What We're Looking For (The "About You" Essentials)
We will be assessing your suitability based on the following key areas:
- Information Management Experience: Significant experience managing records, along with structured and unstructured information, in a public sector context, including defining and implementing information and data management structures. Significant experience with Content Manager and dealing with unstructured data is desirable.
- Leadership Capability: Experience in leading teams, including establishing performance frameworks, coaching, development, and maintaining a customer focus.
- Analysis and Communication: Highly developed abilities in gathering, synthesising, and analysing data (including e-discovery), identifying trends, and communicating these insights with influence to diverse stakeholders.
- Project Delivery: Experience in initiating, planning, developing, and delivering business activities or projects that contribute to organisational goals.
- Communication Skills: Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills for collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement, as well as highly developed written communication skills for producing high-quality information to support leadership decision-making.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or a relevant professional membership is highly desirable
