About your new role
The Senior Policy Officer is primarily responsible for developing and informing the organisation's policy and operational practice guideline. You will be conducting robust research to understand complex problems and identify potential evidence-based solutions as well as creating operational policies and practice guidelines to ensure service delivery is consistent.

What you will need to exceed
- The ability to perform robust research to gather evidence and understand complex problems and solutions.
- Experience managing multiple policy projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines despite frequent interruptions.
- Proficiency in drafting clear, concise, and logical documents, including operational policies, reports, and fact sheets.
- The ability to organise material systematically to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication.
- The ability to negotiate, exchange ideas, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to formulate policy.
- You are expected to contribute to a workplace culture of equity, respect, and inclusion
- You must adhere to professional standards and the department's goal of being a culturally capable agency.
