About the Opportunity
I am currently partnering with an established and highly respected organization to source a dedicated Human Resources Advisor. Based in Welshpool, Western Australia, this is a full-time position operating as a key advisory and support role within the business. In this capacity, you will work closely with the leadership team in a hands-on, strategic and operational role.
The Role
As the Human Resources Advisor, your primary purpose will be supporting and implementing the company's people and culture strategy. You will be responsible for assisting with core HR functions, which includes recruitment, performance, compliance, training, engagement, and payroll support. You will provide guidance and advice to management and staff while ensuring legislative compliance and fostering a high-performance and respectful workplace culture. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with the Payroll & HR/EA Coordinator to ensure seamless operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HR function by assisting with workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff engagement.
- Work with the leadership team and outside consultants on the strategic vision of the business
- Provide operational HR advice and support to leaders and staff across all levels of the business.
- Collaborate with the Payroll & HR/EA Coordinator to help ensure accurate payroll processing and administrative delivery.
- Assist in maintaining and developing HR policies and procedures, ensuring regular updates and clear communication.
- Contribute to employee engagement and culture-building initiatives across the business.
- Partner with leaders to guide performance management, help resolve employee relation issues, and support leadership capability.
- Help implement HR projects, including reward and recognition, learning programs, and health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support the management of HR risk and compliance, ensuring policies, documentation, and practices meet legal standards and requirements.
Selection Criteria & About You
- Demonstrated experience in operational HR advisory or generalist roles.
- A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act, employment legislation, and modern awards.
- Experience utilizing and navigating Payroll and HR Systems.
- The ability to facilitate end-to-end processes, including recruitment, performance, and engagement.
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- A Certificate IV or Diploma in HR, Business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- A professional, positive, and approachable working style.
- Trustworthy, confidential, and emotionally intelligent.
