Randstad Education is partnering with a prestigious, co-educational Independent Anglican School located in Melbourne's vibrant Inner South. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Science Teacher for an immediate contract position running through to the end of the school year.

The Role
This is an urgent full-time contract commencing ASAP until the end of the school year. The teaching load comprises two Year 7 classes and two Year 8 classes, delivering general science.
Step into a fully planned curriculum with complete lesson frameworks ready to execute. You will work alongside a highly supportive faculty team, including a dedicated Head of Department and 2IC, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
Manage student behaviour effectively and foster a positive, curious learning environment across junior secondary science cohorts.
Partner with secondary science colleagues to deliver practical, engaging science lessons aligned with Victorian curriculum standards.
Successful Candidate Profile
VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration and valid Australian working rights (candidates on relevant working visas with appropriate rights are encouraged to apply; sponsorship is not available).
Proven experience teaching junior secondary science with strong, established classroom management and behaviour management skills (not suitable for graduate teachers due to the immediate start).
Adaptable, professional, respectful of the school’s Anglican ethos, and capable of quickly building rapport with students and staff.
