The Role
As a LOTE Teacher (Italian and/or French), you will play a key role in inspiring secondary students to develop linguistic proficiency and a deep appreciation for world cultures.
Design and deliver engaging Italian and French language programmes aligned with the Victorian Curriculum (and VCE where applicable) across junior and senior year levels.
Utilise communicative, immersion-based, and modern digital strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and build student confidence in language acquisition.
Cultivate interactive learning environments, language immersion activities, and cultural events that spark enthusiasm for global languages.
Work closely with language faculties to create contemporary assessment tools, shared resource banks, and interdisciplinary projects.
Successful Candidate Profile
Relevant tertiary education qualifications in Education and Languages, with current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Must hold full Australian working rights (Australian/NZ Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or an unrestricted work visa).
Demonstrated fluency in both Italian and French, with the capability to teach both subjects effectively across secondary year levels.
Adaptable, highly organised, dynamic, and respectful of diverse educational ethoses across Government, Catholic, and Independent school environments.

All Applicants are required to provide a valid state based Working with Children’s Check which is thoroughly screened.
