The OpportunityWe are actively seeking a driven and results-oriented Area Manager to take ownership of the Western Australian territory. Operating out of Perth, you will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of industrial customers, driving new business, and maximizing long-term sales and margin potential.
As the face of the business, you will build deep, trusting relationships by understanding your clients' plant processes and procedures, ensuring our client delivers exceptional technical and commercial value.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve monthly and annual targets for order intake, invoiced sales, and margins within your assigned industry and customer base.
- Actively seek out new business opportunities with both existing and prospective customers.
- Develop and execute an annual 12-month territory call cycle plan to maximize customer engagement and results.
- Gather and communicate critical application data to Internal Sales and Engineering teams to support technical product enquiries and design.
- Monitor market trends and report on competitor activity, potential risks, and new opportunities.
- Advocate for customer needs internally to ensure the highest standards of service and quality are met.
- Prepare and manage accurate quotations using the company’s internal application.
- Participate in the preparation of annual sales budgets and review monthly industry sales reports to track performance.
To be successful in this role, you will be an entrepreneurial, out-of-the-box thinker who thrives in an autonomous environment. You will also possess:
- 3+ years of proven sales experience within a similar industrial environment.
- A Trade or Engineering qualification (highly desirable).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- A target-driven mindset with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- The ability to pass site induction and fitness requirements, as travel to end-user sites (such as treatment plants, pumping stations, and contractor sites) is required.
- Willingness to undertake domestic and potentially international travel as needed.
