Positioned within the Asset Management Mining division, this role gives you direct ownership over the master data framework that ensures the dewatering assets operate safely, efficiently, and at peak reliability from day one. You will bridge the gap between capital project teams, site engineering, and warehouse operations to build robust maintenance foundations for major mining assets.
What You Will Do
As a SAP Asset Readiness Specialist (Dewatering), you will be responsible for bringing critical dewatering equipment online within our client’s enterprise systems ahead of site commissioning milestones. Operating from their Perth office, you will own the full end-to-end master data lifecycle in SAP.
- Master Data Architecture: Build complete Functional Location (FLOC) structures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and cataloguing frameworks in SAP PM and MM.
- Tactics & Preventive Maintenance: Draft, compile, and activate planned maintenance inspections (PMIs), task lists, and maintenance tactics aligned to statutory and operational requirements.
- Resource & Cost Optimisation: Perform maintenance tactic and inventory analysis to smooth work across multiple bores, forecast labour and material costs, and set optimal stock levels.
- Project Handover & Supply Chain Liaison: Work closely with project teams, site personnel, and external vendors to compile parts lists, secure long-lead items, and manage initial warehouse stocking.
Who You Are
You are an analytical, system-savvy asset management specialist with deep expertise in SAP master data builds and a solid background in dewatering or heavy industrial infrastructure.
- Technical Asset Expertise: Deep technical understanding of dewatering assets, equipment designs, and operational maintenance strategies.
- SAP PM Power User: Extensive hands-on experience developing SAP master data, specifically building FLOC structures, BOMs, task lists, maintenance plans, and loading data via load sheets.
- Planning & Supply Chain Discipline: Proven capability in inventory management, maintenance cost budgeting, forecasting, and coordinating long-lead item procurement.
- Collaborative Communicator: Track record of driving alignment across cross-functional groups, including capital project teams, site maintenance operations, and vendor network.
