We’re partnering with a leading medtech business seeking an engaging and adaptable HR Business Partner to join their ANZ team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a well-rounded HR generalist to balance end-to-end operational excellence, key HRIS administration, and high-impact strategic initiatives across Australia and New Zealand during an exciting phase of business growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director ANZ, you will act as a key HR operational manager, advisor, and strategic partner to business leadership and employees across the region. You will form close partnerships with assigned teams to drive HR solutions, talent strategies, and core programs while seamlessly executing regional and HQ-driven initiatives.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, talent management, and change guidance to align people strategies with broader business goals.
- Core HR Operations & Compliance: Oversee end-to-end daily HR processes, payroll support alongside Finance, accurate employee file governance, and policy development and administration.
- Employee & Industrial Relations: Apply a strong understanding of relevant legislation (including the Fair Work Act) to provide practical advice, ensure compliance, manage complex grievances, and drive engagement.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment, induction processes, candidate screening, pay proposals, and coordinate employer-sponsored visa applications (Subclass 457/186) with external consultants.
- HRIS Systems Management: Serve as the local administrator for HRIS platforms (SAP HCM / SuccessFactors), managing recruitment, leave, and master data while partnering with regional IT teams on system optimization.
- WHS & Compliance: Oversee Work Health and Safety initiatives, Workers' Compensation, Return to Work coordination, and maintain training registers to meet ISO 9001 compliance standards.
About You
You are a seasoned HR Business Partner or HR Lead who brings a strong technical foundation in end-to-end HR processes and local workplace legislation.
- Degree qualified in HR, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant local HR experience, ideally with a proven track record within the MedTech, Pharma, or broader Healthcare sector.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and coaching skills with high attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel across ANZ on occasion to support local teams.
