The Customer Service Officer is a new role within our clients Operations team of ‘Customer Service’ which works alongside their broader Operations team. The Customer Service Officer is responsible for communicating with customers via telephone and email to direct customers to the information that best addresses the enquiry and provides the next necessary steps to finalise a transaction which intends to update the interest / rights recorded in the registry.
Accountabilities:
- Provide accurate and timely information and direction to customers by telephone and / or email, using all available resources.
- Understand and apply our clients policies, procedures and guidelines, including utilising the Knowledge Management System, when responding to customer requests.
- Effectively and efficiently manage information requests, complaints, compliments, general enquiries and transactions and identify queries that require escalation beyond the call centre, and follow approved processes to do so.
- Contribute to the Customer Service teams Key Performance indicators by achieving individual performance targets in relation to call quality and timeliness.
- Work effectively as a member of the Customer Service team and ensure the provision of quality / seamless customer service at all times (via both phone and email channels).
- Support the team and customer by adherence to roster start/finish times, breaks and meeting schedules, and meet personal and team KPI’s.
What you will bring to the role:
- Minimum 2 years of Call centre experience or similar
- Strong customer service skills and effective written and verbal communications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with effective multitasking skills
- High importance on accuracy, compliance with business processes and regulatory obligations.
- Ability and drive to conduct own research
- Attention to detail and an understanding of the need/value of accuracy in their work
- Candidates will need to be comfortable in a dynamic /changing environment while the business is establishing itself
Desirable:
- Experience in a banking or financial services role with customer service activities delivered
- Background in Property, Solicitor or Paralegal firms, with experience in conveyancing for property
- Experience with land or water allocation titles and an understanding of the terminology and processes
