We are seeking a reliable, practical, and hands-on Workshop Labourer / Trades Assistant (internally recognised as Technical Officer) to support our vibrant engineering facilities at a leading Bundoora-based university STEM college.

Key Responsibilities
- Workshop Cleaning & Upkeep: Maintain high hygiene and safety standards across workshop spaces, including cleaning scrap metal holding areas, sweeping, and mopping.
- Machinery Maintenance: Perform routine basic maintenance on engineering machinery, including greasing, oiling, and functional checks.
- PPE & Consumables Management: Monitor stock levels, restock consumables, and manage re-ordering of laboratory PPE.
- General Support: Assist workshop staff with day-to-day practical tasks and maintenance needs.
About You
- Hands-on Experience: Proven experience working with tools in a workshop, trade, or technical support environment.
- Work Ethic: Strong practical mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to undertake routine physical cleaning and upkeep duties.
- Attention to Detail: Comfortable following safety protocols, maintaining equipment, and tracking stock levels.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to liaise with workshop personnel.
