About your new role
The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of a comprehensive project evaluation report under a tight, fixed-term deadline. This role involves establishing robust evaluation frameworks and program logic models to thoroughly assess the effectiveness, efficiency, outcomes, and governance of funded initiatives. To achieve this, the officer must oversee the collection and synthesis of complex qualitative and quantitative data across multiple projects, ensuring rigorous analytical methods and statistical validity. Ultimately, they will translate these findings into high-quality evaluation reports, strategic briefings, and government correspondence to support evidence-based decision-making, while managing collaborative stakeholder partnerships and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and contractual obligations.
What you will need to exceed
... - A strong operational and regulatory understanding of energy sector and its ongoing energy transition.
Must have
- Advanced proficiency in using MS Project, backed by exceptional, high-level scheduling capabilities.
- Strong analytical capability to develop basic data models or algorithms, construct data visualisations, and derive predictive insights that inform immediate and future strategic decisions.
- The ability to analyse complex issues from multiple angles, pinpoint recurring systemic problems, and seamlessly embed long-term solutions into established work processes.
- A proven track record of managing relationships and building collaborative, trusted partnerships with internal executives, external industry entities, and community stakeholders.
- A forward-thinking approach that interprets individual challenges within the broader business context, drives organisational change management, and leverages emerging technologies to optimise internal processes.
