Key Responsibilities
Constructability & Delivery Advisory: Provide expert guidance on construction methodologies, staging, site logistics, and risk mitigation during project planning, procurement, and design phases.
Client Representation: Serve as a trusted advisor to asset owners and government bodies, helping oversee project performance, quality, and contractual compliance.
Commercial & Project Controls: Evaluate project budgets, schedules, cost-to-complete forecasts, variations, and claims using direct site experience to judge constructability and commercial validity.
Peer Reviews & Audits: Lead independent technical and project delivery reviews across major civil works (roads, earthworks, bridges, utilities, and heavy civil infrastructure).
Strategic Stakeholder Management: Translate complex site realities into clear, executive-level insights for non-technical stakeholders, technical design teams, and client boards.
What You Bring
Proven Site Expertise: 8+ years of hands-on project management experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects with a Tier 1, 2, or reputable regional contractor.
Consulting Aptitude: Ability to think strategically and translate complex site-based challenges into clear, high-level advisory reports for clients.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional chartership (e.g., CPEng, AIPM, RPEQ) is advantageous.
Commercial Acumen: In-depth understanding of standard civil contracts (e.g., AS 2124, AS 4000, GC21) and experience evaluating claims and variations.
Strong Communication: Exceptional report-writing and presentation skills tailored for executive-level audiences.
