Project Engineer (Civil) – Multiple Opportunities | Gold Coast
The Opportunity We are currently sourcing for multiple Project Engineers (Civil) to join a major infrastructure delivery team focusing on the rapidly expanding South Coast road network. Based in Nerang on the Gold Coast, these roles offer an initial 12-month full-time contract, complete with the potential for two additional extension options. You will be compensated with an excellent, hourly rate.
About the Role Working within the Pre-Construction Delivery unit, you will play a pivotal role in the early phases of the region's infrastructure projects. You will assist or act as the Project Manager, steering projects from Business Case or Scoping stages through to Preliminary Design, Detailed Design, and final Issue for Construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
...Deliver task-focused support to the Project Manager and Team Leader for project and contract delivery.
Maintain a deep understanding of project scope to actively assist in managing risks and mitigating delays.
Maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts, ensuring accurate expenditure recording, progress claims, and accruals using project systems such as P6 and SAP.
Assist with the procurement of contractors, consultants, and suppliers, alongside managing their progress payment claims and financial reporting.
Support comprehensive contract administration, including managing variations, extensions of time, delay claims, and stakeholder correspondence.
Conduct site visits to support project coordination and attend meetings to provide expert technical input.
Ensure all environmental and quality aspects of the projects are rigorously identified and addressed.
Administer project documentation, maintain compliant filing structures, and keep project leadership informed of progress, risks, and emerging concerns.
Maintain effective communication and liaison with all levels of internal and external stakeholders regarding transport infrastructure delivery.
About You
To be considered for these highly sought-after roles, you must demonstrate the following mandatory requirements:
A four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or an equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
Current registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
A minimum of eight (8) years' experience delivering transport infrastructure projects.
A valid Class C driver's licence and an OH&S Construction Induction (White Card)
