operations supervisor - transport (dangerous goods)

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Provide strong day-to-day leadership, support, and direction; foster a psychologically safe, inclusive team culture to drive retention.

• Fleet & Driver Allocation: Allocate prime movers and trailers to meet operational needs, set clear departure schedules, and manage driver rosters in strict alignment with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WA Fatigue Management rules.

• Full Employee Lifecycle: Handle recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and conflict resolution in partnership with People & Capability.

• Operational Accuracy: Oversee scanning, manifesting, and receiving depot communications to ensure on-time service delivery and issue resolution.

• Compliance & Safety: Participate in incident investigations, enforce safety standards, and track mandatory license renewals and medical checks.

• Rotational Support: Participate in weekend work and act as designated after-hours contact on a rotational basis.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar supervisory/leadership role within transport or logistics industry

• Proven background in scheduling, managing and leading driver teams in a fast paced environment.

• Prior knowledge / experience of dealing with dangerous goods freight preferred
