- Plant Maintenance Fitters: Focus on routine inspections, mechanical overhauls, precise component fitting, and minimizing downtime on automated and heavy manufacturing production machinery.
- Service Technicians / Mechanical Fitters: Focus on workshop-based assembly, disassembly, diagnostic fault-finding, hydraulic/motor repairs, and test procedures for specialized machinery and attachments.

Primary Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, machinery inspections, and rapid breakdown repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Diagnose, fault-find, and service mechanical systems, hydraulic circuits, motors, and precision equipment.
- Assemble, fit, and test components according to technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
- Operate precision machining tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Complete all job-related paperwork accurately, including service reports and timesheets.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, production teams, and workshop managers to maintain high safety and quality standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Trade Qualification: Relevant Australian Mechanical Fitting trade certificate (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: Proven experience reading blueprints/drawings, fault-finding, and working with mechanical/hydraulic systems.
- Licences & Tickets: Valid Driver's Licence and Forklift (LF) ticket essential. High Risk tickets (Working at Heights, EWP) are highly regarded.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, reliability, and a solid commitment to workplace safety.
- Industry Experience: Background in heavy manufacturing, concrete products, earth moving machinery, or mobile attachments is an advantage, but all experienced fitters are encouraged to apply.
