Your new company
An opportunity exists to join a leading economic development organisation delivering high-impact initiatives designed to accelerate economic growth and profile Adelaide as a premier destination to visit, live, work, and invest. You will work within a dynamic marketing team, contributing directly to destination marketing campaigns, major events, and visitor economy initiatives.
Your new role
As Marketing Coordinator (Level 5), you will step into a busy environment to support the planning, coordination, and operational delivery of high-profile destination marketing initiatives. Working 5 days per week on a contract through to February (with strong potential to extend), you will manage multiple concurrent work-streams spanning digital channels, content creation, electronic direct mail (EDM), campaign roll-outs, and stakeholder engagement.
You will balance strategic coordination with hands-on tactical execution, translating visitor insights into compelling content and managing digital assets across CRM platforms and web systems. The role requires the confidence to work autonomously, take ownership of day-to-day project milestones, and cultivate productive relationships across internal teams, local businesses, and external precinct partners.
What you'll need to succeed
Industry Experience: Demonstrated marketing experience within tourism, destination marketing, major events, or a similarly busy sector.
Project & Campaign Delivery: Proven ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and work-streams simultaneously, maintaining strict timelines and high attention to detail.
Content & Copy-writing Skills: Strong written communication skills with practical expertise developing EDMs, website copy, briefing documents, and social content.
Systems & Digital Expertise: Practical experience managing CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and CRM systems (HubSpot experience is highly regarded).
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently, build trust rapidly, and manage competing priorities across varied partners.
Autonomy & Agility: A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the capability to start delivering with minimal ramp-up time.
What you'll get in return
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the promotion and vibrancy of Adelaide’s city centre. You will work within an energetic, supportive team environment in the Adelaide CBD, gaining valuable experience across prominent destination marketing and visitor campaigns.
