Junior Internal Sales & Operations Support
An exciting opportunity has opened for an ambitious, hands-on professional to join a leading livestock handling equipment supplier at their brand-new facility in Dubbo! This is an entry-level, hands-on support role, with a clear path into a field sales position.
Purpose of the role
This role is the engine room of the Dubbo site: turning customer enquiries into accurate quotes, keeping customers followed up, and helping get orders out the door. It is a genuine all-rounder position; part office, part warehouse, part road. The successful person will start in a support capacity and, with training and mentoring from the GM, grow into a sales role with broad responsibility across the East Coast.

Key Responsibilities:
Internal sales (primary focus)
- Prepare accurate quotations for stockyards, ramps, gates, crushes and related equipment
- Produce simple yard layout drawings to support quotes (full training provided)
- Read and interpret customer requirements and product specifications
- Follow up enquiries and open quotes by phone and email, and convert them into orders
- Build strong relationships with farmers, rural stores and resellers
- Maintain customer records, quotes and orders accurately in our systems
Operations and warehouse
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch
- Assist with receiving stock, loading and unloading, and general yard duties
- Support inventory accuracy and keep the site clean, safe and organised
- Help set up and improve processes as the Dubbo site grows
Field and travel
- Attend multi-day agricultural field days with the GM several times a year, including setting up and packing down displays
- Travel across the East Coast visiting rural stores and resellers
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience: Experience in office administration, front desk reception, or customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent precision to ensure complex quotes and customer orders are right the first time.
- Computer Literacy: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email systems, and learning internal databases.
- Communication Skills: Clear, down-to-earth spoken and written English, with the natural ability to connect with farmers and rural customers.
- Drive & Initiative: A strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn our systems, products, and industry.
- Hands-on Attitude: Willing to roll up your sleeves for manual handling, pick and pack, and general yard duties.
- Flexibility to Travel: Open to overnight and multi-day regional travel.
- Licence: Current Australian driver’s licence
Desirable Experience:
- Agricultural, farming or rural background, or experience with livestock
- Experience in rural merchandise, trade sales, customer service or a similar role
- Exposure to drawing or design tools (training provided)
- Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
