About your new role
The Infrastructure Investment Planning Analyst leads the planning, prioritisation, and portfolio coordination of capital infrastructure investments. This role ensures that funding submissions, business cases, and long-term investment programs are high-quality, data-driven, and aligned with governance standards to withstand executive, committee, and audit scrutiny.
What you will need to exceed
... - Ability to develop, apply, and refine multi-criteria scoring frameworks to rank competing infrastructure projects objectively.
- Deep understanding of capital budgeting cycles, multi-year investment programming, and funding submission processes.
- Experience building and standardising planning templates, guidance documents, and intake workflows for cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in reviewing complex business cases, economic assessments, and project proposal reports to verify financial feasibility and strategic alignment.
- Capability to audit complex datasets, financial assumptions, and project readiness metrics to ensure accuracy under audit/committee scrutiny.
Desirable
- 3–6+ years of experience in infrastructure investment planning, portfolio management, capital budgeting, or capital project advisory.
- Experience working within public sector agencies (e.g., public works, energy, water, healthcare infrastructure, treasury) or infrastructure consulting firms (e.g., Big 4, engineering advisories).
