The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take full ownership of the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality strategy. Your primary goal will be to ensure total compliance with legislative requirements and certification standards while prioritizing the health and wellbeing of all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage overarching HSEQ strategies and programs to ensure compliance with WHS and environmental legislation, while actively maintaining the QMS to ISO 9001 standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across the site by implementing robust risk assessment frameworks, conducting incident investigations, managing CAPA, and leading process and supplier audits.
- Oversee all safety and compliance training initiatives, coordinate effective return-to-work and rehabilitation programs, and champion environmental sustainability across operations.
- Act as the HSEQ representative during tenders, client audits, and external engagements, while internally fostering a collaborative, proactive, and inclusive safety culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive, detail-oriented, and improvement-focused professional who is capable of collaborating across all levels of an organization.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Hold a relevant Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, backed by a minimum of 5 years in a senior HSEQ role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Possess strong, proven knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation, alongside practical experience in developing risk management frameworks and injury management programs.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills, coupled with proficiency in MS Office and HSEQ Management Systems.
