An exciting opportunity has come up for a full-time Electrical Engineer to join a close-knit and collaborative consultancy here in Melbourne.
About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will coordinate and administer electrical engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications. You will interpret designs for project execution, contribute to improvements on existing systems, monitor progress for adherence to program, and attend site meetings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Designing and documenting electrical building services, including power, lighting, communications, security, and fire detection systems for a range of building types.
Collaborating with architects, clients, and fellow consultants to develop coordinated, efficient, and sustainable designs.
Preparing detailed technical specifications, load calculations, and engineering reports.
Attending project and client meetings, representing the consultancy with professionalism and confidence.
Contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and mutual respect.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineer status (CPEng/NER) or actively working towards registration.
Passionate about electrical engineering and building services design.
Minimum 5 years’ Australian engineering consultancy experience.
Proficient in Revit MEP and electrical calculation software (e.g., PowerCad, AGi32).
Ability to build and maintain lasting client and team relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
