About the role
In this role, you will play a crucial part in preserving high value physical records and converting them into digital assets for long-term access and cultural recordkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Prep & Assessment: Inspect physical files, remove fasteners (staples, clips), rate physical condition, and prepare documents for high-volume scanning.
- Scanning & Uploading: Batch, scan, and upload physical records into internal digitisation systems with speed and precision.
- Data Entry & CRM Management: Review file metadata and enter key details into the CRM with high accuracy.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct strict QA checks on digitised assets to ensure full compliance with archival guidelines.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed daily processing targets while working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Requirements & Skills
- Cultural Background: This is an identified role. Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Eligibility: Must be an Australian citizen and willing to undergo a National Police Check.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong computer literacy, high speed typing skills, and sharp attention to detail.
- Physical Capability: Ability to safely perform repetitive manual handling, including lifting and moving archive boxes.
- Work Ethic: High self-motivation, strong problem-solving skills, and a reliable approach to meeting project goals.
