About the Role
We are partnering with a leading asset-intensive organisation to find a sharp, technically sound Data Analyst to join their mature Maintenance Centre of Excellence.
Reporting directly to a highly respected leader in the reliability engineering and data space, you will join a high-performing, diverse national team of 20+ data professionals. Your mission will be to turn massive, complex operational and maintenance data into clear, predictive insights that keep heavy machinery running safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Mine & Model: Write clean, efficient Python scripts and SQL queries to wrangle and analyse large-scale, complex industrial data sets.
Warehouse Strategy: Work closely within an enterprise Snowflake and AWS data environment to optimise data pipelines for maintenance analytics.
Visualize: Design and build robust, intuitive Power BI dashboards that help reliability engineers and operational managers make split-second, high-impact decisions.
Collaborate: Partner with an advanced team of data scientists and engineering peers across QLD and national sites to drive continuous improvement in asset performance.
What We Are Looking For
Heavy Industry DNA: You have a solid background working in mining, utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, or heavy logistics. You understand what a maintenance schedule looks like and how equipment downtime impacts the bottom line.
The Core Stack:
Snowflake: Proven hands-on experience querying and modelling in a Snowflake environment.
Power BI: Ability to create advanced DAX calculations and data models that tell a compelling story.
Python: Strong scripting skills for data manipulation and analysis (Pandas, NumPy).
AWS: Familiarity with cloud data architecture and storage.
Analytical Mindset: You treat data analysis like a science—looking for root causes, patterns, and anomalies, rather than just building basic surface-level reports.
