We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to build scalable, secure cloud platforms and drive DevOps practices across infrastructure and development teams. In this dynamic role, you will sit at the intersection of IT operations and development, continuously innovating to deliver resilient infrastructure and support critical data streaming initiatives.
What You Will Do:
Design and implement automation foundations, standards, and practices for the cloud services team using modern industry frameworks.
Build a scalable and secure cloud platform foundation to support integration teams implementing the Confluent (Apache Kafka) data streaming platform.
Collaborate directly with application development and data engineering teams to align and influence DevOps/MLOps practices.
Provide guidance on code to ensure quality and compliance controls are followed, while coaching and mentoring data engineers.
Engage in and lead production support, troubleshooting cloud services and infrastructure to ensure timely, long-term resolutions.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
Demonstrated experience working with Confluent or Apache Kafka platforms, including a strong understanding of components like connectors, topics, and service accounts.
Proven technical experience in GCP or AWS public cloud environments, alongside proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
Experience developing high-quality code in Golang, Python, or Bash shell, and building sophisticated CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab.
Strong collaboration and communication capabilities to engage with all levels of stakeholders and drive a DevOps culture shift.
Passion for continuous learning, an AI-first mindset, and experience implementing security DevOps practices and observability in complex distributed systems.
