Scope: $8M sewer and drainage upgrade project
Duration: 12β15 months initial project, with further pipeline of work
Travel / Roster: 10/3 FIFO from Melbourne (flights and accommodation provided) or local Tasmanian candidates
As the Site Supervisor, you will directly manage daily site operations and ensure construction work meets local authority standards and safety requirements. Specific responsibilities include:
Directing daily site operations, plant equipment, direct labour, and subcontractors for sewer line installations and deep drainage work.
Executing daily work schedules and short-term look-ahead programs in coordination with the project engineering team.
Enforcing site safety, environmental controls, tool box talks, and Job Safety Environmental Analyses (JSEAs).
Overseeing trenching, shoring, pipe laying, backfilling, and compaction activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Conducting pre-starts, maintaining daily site logs, tracking plant hours, and reporting material quantities.
Interacting with local authorities, inspectors, and client representatives during on-site inspections and quality sign-offs.
Resolving practical constructability issues on-site to keep the job moving safely and efficiently.
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman within civil construction, specifically on pipe laying, sewer, or drainage projects.
Background working with mid-tier or regional civil contractors with a hands-on, proactive leadership style.
Demonstrated ability to manage small-to-medium site crews and work closely alongside Project Engineers and Coordinators.
High level of practical constructability knowledge and site safety management.
Valid White Card and current Australian Driverβs License.
Willingness to work on a FIFO roster from Melbourne or relocate locally for the project duration.
Permanent, full-time employment with ongoing project opportunities.
