We are currently recruiting for two skilled and reliable Team Leaders with formwork carpentry experience to join the Bridge Maintenance Team at Brisbane City Council.
- Pay rate: $51.09 - 54.63 p/hr + Tool allowances + Travel Allowances + Super
- Work truck provided (if live within 35kms from Brisbane City)
- 9 Day fortnight
- Other applicable allowances: Working in Rain, Working in Water etc.

About your new role
You will lead and coordinate a team to deliver projects across Bridges and/or City Structures assets. Adherence to strict WHS practices is essential. Your duties will include:
- Lead team performance by setting clear goals, providing support, and giving feedback.
- Effectively follow tasks assigned by supervisors and engineers.
- Interpret and read technical plans
- Improve processes and increase efficiency.
- On-site administrative skills, including recording and preparing written information.
- Problem-solving skills for daily on-site issues.
- Advise on resource needs and timeframes for new projects.
- Ensuring safe work measures are implemented and adhered to.
- Conducting daily toolbox meetings.
- Building and erecting formwork and formwork shutters for pile capping, abutments, headstocks, columns and slabs.
- Concrete patching & steelfixing
- Creating forms for bridges, foundations, beams and staircases.
- Building structures on site using wood or putting together metal frames.
- Using power tools and jackhammers for concrete breakouts.
- Measuring, cutting and shaping wood or metal.
- Experience with basic labor tasks like sandblasting, spray painting, and concrete repairs.
- Checking work for accuracy.
What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have the following:
- Proven leadership experience
- MR Drivers license (Mandatory)
- Working at height ticket
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
- Carpentry & Formwork experience
- Structural concrete repairs experience
- Civil experience
- EWP Above 11m
- Dogman ticket
